The Strawberry Rhubarb Tart was to die for! Staff were friendly. I did ordered drinks and it wasn't the greatest. The dessert helped balance it out.

I am so fortunate to have stumbled upon this gem while in search of a French style patisserie. There are other businesses that claim to be patisseries, but this is the real deal. The location is easy to get to, even for someone who doesn't live in Minneapolis. The parking is easy, and the neighborhood feels safe. We loved the almost dark academia ambience that is inside - warm lighting, dark interior. It creates a cozy feel and makes you feel sophisticated, even if you're just trying to satisfy the Saturday morning sweet tooth like we were. Ordering was easy, and the lady gathering our items was very friendly and explained things well. We ordered a vanilla St. Honoré, pain au chocolat, croissants, and an Elise (yes, I'm saying it in a French accent to feel more fancy). The viennoiserie are baked Euro-style, meaning a bit darker than what you'd find in a regular American bakery. The many flaky layers could be seen, and there's a delightful crunch when you take a bite. The sweetness of the Elise was "just enough." We enjoyed everything except for the iced mochas. Those weren't quite as chocolatey or sweet as we're used to. If we could improve anything, it would be to give an option to have something warmed, like the pain au chocolat. It's a little spendy, but you're getting real croissants- not Costco croissants. Will definitely be coming back.

One of the best breakfast spots in the twin cities for sure! Their baked goods were extremely yummy and you can tell that it was all fresh out of the oven. We had a ham sandwich and a croissant and they were both perfection!

A proper bistro for the francophiles of Minneapolis. The smell authentic, the coffee hot, and the flakiness of desserts... chef's kiss The Kouign Aman was a delight. Flaky and sweet, perfect for a Gallic brekkie, but being Americans we had to have more. The summer tartine was fresh and the quiche decadent. The side salad was tossed with a light coating of a vinaigrette, one could appreciate the crunch and flavor of the lettuce. An array of seating arrangements to dine or lounge. Would be a classy morning date spot.

Okay I have absolutely been sleeping on this place! I have lived in the neighborhood for three years and I just started going here this summer. Pastries are literally so good - I mean they partner with coffee shops all over the city so you know they are good but honestly just going in there to look at the pastry case is a treat without tasting anything. My favorite thing aside from the baked goods is their outdoor patio space. It's this breezy corner in a quiet neighborhood in south Minneapolis with big leafy trees proving enough shade for a comfortable hang on a sunny day. One of my new favorite places to work or read outside with a coffee to sip on and pastry to nibble on. Go here.
